Gardner Elementary School is Michael Jackson Auditorium again !

Gardner Street Elementary school:
7450 Hawthorn Ave (at Gardner Street),
Hollywood, CA. / (323) 876-4710

Michael Jackson, the "King of Pop," was a 6th grade student here back when he was a normal 11-year-old; he attended class here in the daytime and performed as an emerging musical superstar at night, with his family group "The Jackson Five." His early hit songs back then included "ABC," "The Love You Save" and "I'll Be There."

In 1989, Gardner Street Elementary named the school auditorium after "the gloved one." Gleaming silver letters across the front of the building now read: "The Michael Jackson Auditorium" ; Michael himself showed up for the unveiling.

Unfortunately, one other former student from Garner recently made the headlines: Mikhail Markhasev, the man convicted of shooting to death Ennis Cosby. The son on comedian Bill Cosby was northbound on the San Diego (405) Freeway, when he pulled off the freeway onto the Mulholland offramp to fix a flat tire. There, he encountered Markhasev, who shot him during a failed robbery attempt.

Michael Jackson Fans free Access in Forest Lawn

Fans will get the chance to get up close to the King of Pop in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Michael Jackson's final resting place, the Holly Terrace at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, in Glendale, California, will be opened to the public for the very first time on Friday, June 25, to mark the first anniversary.

Under the arrangement to be announced Wednesday, fans of Jackson will be allowed to pay their respects at the Great Mausoleum, where Jackson's body was interred in an elaborate marble sarcophagus last September.

It is a major milestone, because normally non-family members can't access the mausoleum where Jackson and a few other celebrities are buried, including Gone with the Wind star Clark Gable.

It promises to deliver a new element to the emotion packed one-year anniversary of his passing, with fans expected to make pilgrimages from all around the world.

Various groups, like the Justice4MJ fan group consisting of thousands of members, have announced their plans to gather at Forest Lawn for the anniversary.

"There will be a stage set up and the cemetery will be open from dawn to dusk -- seven to seven," a source told me.

Forest Lawn has been working closely with the Jackson family to coordinate the commemoration.

However, the city of Los Angeles has announced it has no plans for now to issue special permits for the event, which means streets would not be closed and street vendors would not be allowed to sell memorabilia.

Murray's Medical License on the Line

TMZ is live outside the criminal court building in downtown L.A., where Dr. Conrad Murray is due for a pre-trial hearing in the Michael Jackson manslaughter case -- and some MJ faithfuls are showing up to voice their displeasure for the doc.

On the agenda -- the California Attorney General will ask Judge Michael Pastor to suspend Dr. Murray's medical license pending trial. The A.G. was shut down several months ago when he made a similar request before a different judge.

UPDATE 12:09 PM PT: Dr. Murray has arrived!

UPDATE 11:44 AM PT: There's lottery going on right now to see who gets to sit in during the hearing.

Conrad Murray Supporters Plan Demonstration

Sources close to Murray told a group of his friends, patients and fellow church members -- numbering in the "hundreds" -- will be outside the courthouse at Murray's next court hearing to show solidarity.

We're told the group will rent buses in Houston and Las Vegas -- where Dr. Murray has his medical practices -- and drive them to L.A. for the June 14 court date, today.

We're told the catalyst for the sojourn was that pesky banner that flew over the courthouse at the last court hearing, demanding justice for MJ.

Michael Jackson's Trust Lacks Trust in Kids

Michael Jackson apparently learned a lesson in finances -- his kids should not fall victim to consumer temptations that caused Michael himself to teeter on the brink of bankruptcy -- this, according to the details of the strings he attached to his children's inheritance.

News of the World got a copy of the Michael Jackson trust. TMZ broke the story ... under the trust the kids would get 40% of Michael's estate, Kartherine Jackson would get the use of 40% during her lifetime (when she dies the remainder of her share goes to the kids) and the final 20% goes to charity.

Here's what interesting ... that we didn't know until now. Under the trust, Prince, Paris and Blanket have no control of the money until they are 30 years old ... until they turn 30 they just get income -- almost like an allowance -- determined solely by the trustee. When each of the kids turns 30, the trustees must then give them 1/3 of their share outright. When the kids reach 35, they get 1/2 of their share outright.

At age 40, the kids then get what remains of their share -- outright.

We've already published the will -- different from the trust. The will refers to the trust but the trust document has not been public until now.

As for how much the kids will get, that amount grows every month, as executors John Branca and John McClain wheel and deal in business ventures that include concerts, movies and song releases.
